Dear Drs. Cernak and Young,

What relief! No more ice bags wrapped around my foot so I can sleep! Thank you for the successful surgery on the nerves in my foot! Thank you very much!

But also, my gratitude for the extra courtesies: opening your new office, just for me, to honor a date made four months prior at another location. I left that day, September 2, with a smile on my face no one could wipe off! I had hope for pain release, not a bandaid, but a real solution and end to the cause of the excruciating heel and foot pain.

On the day your office actually opened, September 23, Dr. Young went over the procedure again, citing the best and worst that could happen! All my questions were answered. I was ready for surgery.

October 8, actual date for surgery finally came. You both would have preferred a younger patient, but none could be so enthused as I.

Dr. Young found the source of the problem at once and tediously worked to release that nerve from its "girdle".

There was really no need for recovery time. I had been awake the entire time, less than the 90 minutes anticipated. The pain "block" had been effective, so I was calm and ready to leave the hospital, to go home and resume my routine!

Thank you both very much. I have not taken pain medication for the foot since October 12. It is wonderful!

Dear Dr. Cernak,

My name is Renee Frazier Morrison and I have been a patient of yours for quite some years now. You performed surgeries on my hammer toe and heel spurs a few years ago. We have even tried orthodics.

I am now 50 years of age and still having great difficulty with my feet and back due to diabetes and weight issues. We had decided to do surgery on my feet in late September or early October 2004 for the extreme nerve damage in my feet. According to a test Dr. Young performed on me I was considered a prime candidate for this surgery. Well, because of new inventions and my doctors' dedication to their patients it was suggested I try another intervention before surgery. I must say I was disappointed because I was so tired of the pain and I knew that surgery would give me some relief if it was successful. This was the chance I was willing to take.

I want to take this opportunity to thank you so much for introducing me to the Healing Power of Infrared Light Therapy. I am a living witness that this treatment is successful! I have had eleven treatments thus far and after the first two treatments I must say a remarkable difference in my feet were noticed. I was able to move my feet like I have not done in years. I couldn't believe how my whole foot was so much more flexible. I could climb up and down the stairs without so much pain. I even noticed my shoes fitting looser because of the swelling going down. Dr. Cernak and Dr. Young because of your continuous growth in medicine pertaining to neuropathy I am blessed.

Do you want to dance with me? Well I was able to go dancing with a new pair of shoes with a little heel. I couldn't believe it!!! I've been wearing gym shoes and flat shoes for so long that I never dreamed of wearing a heel ever again. And guess what? My feet didn't hurt the next day and nor were they swollen. I was so excited that I couldn't wait to give my report on how my feet felt at my next appointment.

We are now trying this treatment on my back and hopefully I will experience the same success rate.

I would strongly recommend insurances approving this treatment for all patients that are experiencing any type of pain due to inflammatory conditions such as arthritis, bursitis, neuropathy, RSD tendonites, and numerous other chronic conditions. Dr. Cernak, I applaud you for all you do for your patients. THANK YOU!
